LANES is a not-for-profit youth mentoring organization created especially for teenage girls. By participating in LANES programs, girls develop leadership skills, strengthen their character and broaden their horizons through practical application activities and discussions. Social Enterprise Fund, Inc. (SEF) website launches!
As an active organization in Haiti and Nicaragua, the Social Enterprise Fund provides programs that help the poor to help themselves by providing families with economic independence. The new website show how the Haiti Fish Development Project seeks to restore a fishing industry in Haiti. The Haiti Agricultural Development Project starts with reforestation to rebuild Haiti’s depleted landscape and nurtures the return of small family farms. The Nicaraguan Farm Development Program is based upon animal husbandry and small farm development. All SEF projects model the phenomenal success of their contribution to a variety of communities. NOMA Orlando (National Association of Minority Architects) – Website project goes LIVE!
The Orlando Chapter grew out of an interest group, The Florida Association of Black Architects, led by architect Timothy Johnson. The association began in 1998 as a consortium of architectural professionals, builders and contractors with main goal networking and supporting the interests of minority businesses in the design and building industry throughout.
Central Florida. Since then the Chapter has grown significantly in its involvement in the Orlando community, recently hosting the 2007 NOMA National Conference and supporting various mentoring and scholarship programs throughout Florida. Recently, NOMA and DSI partnered to create a newly advanced, website design for the Orlando, FL chapter. —Daytec Partner since May 2009
The Life Center Church Online
In August 1976, Bishop Ronald F. Kimble, Sr. received his ministerial license and following the May 1977 resignation of Rev. Johnson, became the interim pastor of the church. In October of the same year, Bishop Kimble was ordained and installed as the official pastor of the church. Four additional churches have also been established under Bishop Kimble’s leadership. They are: The Life Center Church Ocala, FL; Titusville, FL; Monrovia, Liberia and Chattanooga, TN. The Life Center complex consists of a worship center, educational facilities, administrative offices, a multi-purpose facility, a bookstore, and a prayer chapel. The Life Academy (formerly Eatonville Christian Academy) was established in 1982 and currently services students K4-9th grade. It is located at 107 Wymore Rd., Eatonville, FL. We use the A Beka Book curriculum for all grade levels. The Life Center complex functions for ministry to the local congregation and the Central Florida Community.
